Late night jams are an invaluable commodity, and UK-based producer Fort Romeau (a touring member of party-starting standbys La Roux) is churning ’em out as of late.
Romeau (born Mike Norris) cooks up seductive, house-y slow burners that sound equally adept for the dance floor or your headphones. What separates his cuts from the morass of “hipster house” that soundtracks every American Apparel known to man is a keen sense of immediacy and catchiness; try getting the hook to “Say Something” out of your head anytime soon.
